Organizational Structure

Nog-Da-Win-Da-Min was incorporated as non-profit organization in 1990 and became a registered charity in 2004. Nog Da Win Da Min has implemented a community based service model for the delivery of child welfare prevention services.

This model ensures that services respect the diversity of each of the member First Nations. Direct transfer payments are made to the member First Nations for primary child welfare prevention services delivered by community support service workers.   The First Nations design and control the prevention program and employ their own workers to carry out the program.

Native Family Preservation workers are employed by Nog Da Win Da Min to deliver family support, education/group and in home support.   Each community is assigned a minimum of one worker. These workers are based directly into their assigned communities and work with other First Nation service providers in the prevention of child welfare.

Nog Da Win Da Min also has a foster care unit.  Foster Care Workers are assigned to two or more communities and are based directly at the community level.   The Foster Care Workers work with the communities to develop strategies to recruit foster homes, complete foster home assessments, and support foster parents.
