Genawenman Binojiuk (Alternative Care) - Nogdawindamin Family and Community Services has been approved to open and support foster homes since 2004, meaning that since this time, it has been Nogdawindamin staff conducting the home assessments, supporting the foster homes and assisting in placing children in the approved homes.  Native Foster Homes through Nogdawindamin Family and Community Services offers an opportunity for First Nations children to remain in their community and closely connected to their Native traditions.  Read More...


Cultural Services - It has been an honour to have our Elder’s Council Naadmaagejik (Helpers) as part of Nogdawindamin.  The Cultural Coordinator and members of the council function as a resource to Nogdawindamin staff to ensure that cultural values and beliefs are incorporated within Nogdawindamin and delivery of services.  The Elder’s Council continues to provide a tremendous amount of knowledge that helps ensure that Nogdawindamin provides culturally appropriate services to all the children and families served.  Read More...


Mino Madzwin - blends culturally appropriate lessons and best-practice intervention techniques ideal for extra-judicial sanctions and measures.  The Mino Madzwin program is a highly interactive and computer based program that combines culturally sensitive mechanisms to meet the needs of Anishnawbek youth.  Read More...

Prevention Services - Workers attend child welfare investigations with the Children’s Aid Society to provide assistance and support to families.  Workers will provide assistance and support to children and families to resolve child welfare crises and co-operatively plan and carry out actions designed to divert future, similar crises.  All services are voluntary.  Read More...
